Police in Marystown are crediting patrons of a bar with helping to stop someone who allegedly tried to steal some cash.
The RCMP were first called to the Dock Row Lounge around 7 p.m. last Saturday.
They say a masked man entered the business and ordered a drink.
They say he then grabbed a container of money from behind the bar and attempted to leave, but two customers prevented that from happening and detained him.
The suspect, who has been identified as 30-year-old Patrick Moulton, was arrested and has been charged with theft under $5,000, disguise with intent. and breaching his probation order.
He has been released on conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
