The clock springs forward tonight as the province joins Daylight Savings time.
That means waking up an hour earlier than your body is used to.
People are being reminded to make the adjustment on any clocks they may have that don’t automatically adjust to the time change before they go to bed tonight.
It’s also a good reminder to change the batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors according to the St. John’s Regional Fire Department.
The fire department is also recommending that smoke detectors ten years of age or older be replaced, and it suggests that homeowners follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the replacement of carbon monoxide alarms.
