Government will make two pre-budget announcements today.
First, Transportation Minister John Abbott will elaborate on projects being announced for the 2024-2025 multi-year roads plan.
Over $250 million has been allotted for this year’s projects. That money is part of the $1.4 billion announced in last year’s budget.

The roads plan includes projects planned for the upcoming construction season, as well as a partial list of projects for 2025-2026. It includes major highways, regional trunk roads, and provincially-owned local roads.
Government has already begun issuing tenders for this year’s work.
Minister John Abbott will speak with media about the projects at 11:30 a.m.
This afternoon at 2:00 Premier Andrew Furey will make a budget-related announcement at the PowerPlex in St. John’s.
