It appears as though a fire at Central Dairies in Donovan’s Industrial Park earlier this month is having an impact on the availability of some types of milk.
A sign posted to a cooler at one store indicates that supply challenges have been caused by a fire at the Central Dairies facility and shelves will be restocked as soon as possible.
Other types of milk are fully stocked.
In some areas, Nova Scotia milk products are starting to show up on store shelves.
In the House of Assembly last week minister responsible Elvis Loveless indicated that his department was monitoring the situation and pledged his support for the local dairy industry.
