Another person in this province has died after a slight up-tick in reported cases of COVID-19.
Sixty-one new cases of the virus were reported in the week of April 14 to April 20, compared to 39 cases reported during the last week of March.
Five people were hospitalized, but there were no admissions to critical care.
Reported cases of influenza have dropped significantly since the winter, with fifteen confirmed cases during the last reporting period. Two people were admitted to hospital but neither patient ended up in ICU. There were no deaths reported.
According to the province’s respiratory illness dashboard, reported cases of respiratory illness in this province are either on par or below national averages.
