A Newfoundland photographer has once again had his work featured on a Canadian postage stamp.
Michael Winsor took the iconic photograph of Saglek Fjord in the Torngat Mountains National Park while part of a Land and Sea filming trip in 2015.
He took the shot at just the right moment as their helicopter circled before landing.
He says the helicopter always circles around checking for polar bears before landing because “safety up there for bears is always the number one priority.” As they were circling, the sun broke through the clouds and shone on the mountain, a view he calls “absolutely breathtaking.” He managed to get his camera out through the window and took the picture from the moving helicopter.
