The highly anticipated series of Shania Twain concerts at the Churchill Park Music Festival get underway Friday.
The country music megastar quickly sold out three back-to-back shows, with some 45,000 people expected to file through the gates over the course of the weekend.
Twain is the best-selling female artist in music history. Her three day run of shows in St. John’s are her only Canadian stops on her current tour.
On Instagram on Thursday, Twain posted pictures walking her dog at the St. John’s pedestrian mall. She says she is excited to get the party started, but first she has to “walk the dog, do a shot of screech and kiss the cod.”
Other acts opening for Twain include Mallory Johnson, Lindsay Ell, and Alan Doyle tonight, Talk and Dillon James tomorrow, and Alli Walker, High Valley, and Charlotte Cardin on Sunday.
