The RNC arrested a man, and a car stolen from Marystown and believed to be connected to a number of crimes on the Burin Peninsula and in Gander has been recovered.
RCMP say the Constabulary arrested 28-year-old Tristan Barrett of Marystown in Paradise Wednesday evening.
He was found in possession of a car reported stolen from Marystown earlier in the week and was found with a dog taken during a break-in at the SPCA in Burin.
The dog has been returned to the SPCA.
Barrett is facing a number of charges including vehicle theft, flight from police, dangerous driving, break and enter, four counts of theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property.
The investigation continues.
