A 34-year-old woman is dead following a moose-vehicle collision last night near Gander.

Emergency responders were called to the crash, which occurred on the TCH, just before 10:00 p.m.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was closed overnight while officers conducted their investigation.

The office of the chief medical examiner has also been contacted.
