A police dog stationed in Labrador has been earning his mettle after he and his handler responded to 27 calls for service in September alone.
Among the calls for service, Phox and Constable Daniel Rouleau responded to were a series of break-and-enters that resulted in charges against a man and the apprehension of three people on charges of vehicle theft, assault and damage to property.
One of those arrested was wanted on outstanding charges related to domestic violence.
Phox was also called in to help locate a person experiencing a mental health crisis who had run into a wooded area and required medical attention. Phox and Constable Rouleau found the person who was taken to hospital for treatment.
