There were no injuries after a pickup struck a utility pole on Topsail Road this morning, forcing the temporary closure of the busy four-lane road.
RNC says the pickup struck a pole and a parked vehicle.
Traffic was flowing again after the scene was cleared, but police advise that crews will remain on the scene.

A portion of Topsail Road is closed to traffic in both directions this hour as the result of what RNC are calling a major collison in the area.
RNC say a vehicle hit a utility pole, leaving live wires across Topsail Road between Blackmarsh Road and Farrell Drive.
They’re asking drivers to avoid the area and expect “significant traffic disruptions.”
