The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has recalled over a dozen varieties of organic baby carrots.
The affected carrots contain E. coli – and are part of a larger recall involving products in the U.S.
The affected brands include PC Organics, Compliments Organic, Cal-Organic, and Bunny-Luv.
The bags of carrots have best-before dates ranging from August to early this month. Consumers are being asked to throw the product out or return it to the point of purchase.
The E. coli outbreak has affected dozens of people in the U.S., with one reported death.
There have been no reported cases in Canada.
