There are hopes that an expected U.S. brain drain may be a gain for research and development in this country.
The Trump administration has cut billions of dollars in funding for scientific research, and has eliminated some programming as part of sweeping changes made since returning to office in January.
According to a poll conducted by the journal Nature, 75 per cent of the 1,600 U.S. scientists who answered their poll say they were looking for jobs in Canada or Europe because of the changes.
