Members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary will be running through the streets of metro this morning in support of Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is an annual event in which the funds raised support special Olympians from this province.
Today’s event begins at 10 a.m. at Paradise Park, then down Topsail Road to the Mount Pearl City Depot, then up Kenmount Road to the finish line at Capital Subaru.
RNC constable James Cadigan describes the event as a special event for everyone involved.
He says it means a lot for RNC members to have a hand in support the special Olympics in this province.
