Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP are investigating following a frightening home invasion and robbery that occurred at the Shanawdithit Campground in Botwood last night.

Police were first called to the area around 11:00 p.m.

They say three masked men entered a camper, sprayed a substance believed to be bear spray, assaulted the person inside, and then stole that person’s truck, breaking through the campground gate in the process.

The suspects are known to the victim.

The truck is a red 2016 Chevy Silverado with a white truck cap. The license plate number is CXT 909.

Police are trying to locate the suspects.
