It’s like going on the road with the band and experiencing what that gig entails.
Rum Ragged, a folk music group from Newfoundland and Labrador, is compiling a series of mini-documentaries featuring sights and sounds from their road trips around the province.
Titled “So Much More To Hear,” each mini-doc is about 15 minutes in length.
Lead singer Mark Manning says the documentary shows not only the places where they have performed but features interviews with the people who have heard their music and told the stories.
They have been all around the province – not just the larger centres but many smaller communities such as Branch, Boyd’s Cove and Fogo.
“It’s not all music-related as there is some poetry and story-telling – just what Newfoundland is all about, where the music is played and where it comes from,” says Manning.
