RCMP are investigating a kayaking incident that resulted in the death of an 89-year-old tourist off Dunfield in Trinity Bay Wednesday morning.
The man was paddling with a group when he suffered a medical event.
Members of the Canadian Coast Guard, a local tour company and RCMP were able to bring the man to shore where he was pronounced dead by paramedics.
The man was visiting the province from the United States. The U.S Consulate and the Chief Medical examiner have been engaged.
