A band of rain will move over central Newfoundland tonight and tomorrow, bringing some relief to firefighters battling two blazes still listed as out of control.
One of them, Ragged Harbour, forced the evacuation of the town of Musgrave Harbour last Sunday.
Robert Grove, a meteorologist with the Gander Weather Office, says the rain will start in the southwest tonight and work its way across.
He says they’re looking at rainfall amounts in the range of 20-40 mm in affected areas.
