The mayor of St. John’s says it’s been a busy summer in the capital city, capped off by the 2025 Canada Summer Games which start August 4th.
Danny Breen says from Iceberg Alley to Churchill Park to the Regatta and two full weeks of hosting the country’s largest athletic event, the city has been booming.
“And in that time as well, I think there’s six cruise ship visits coming in,” Breen told VOCM Open Line with guest host Anthony Germain. “Between that, the pedestrian mall, and everything else that’s happening, the George Street Festival coming up, it’s going to be a wicked few weeks in St. John’s.”
