Two people are facing charges following separate retail thefts in metro yesterday.
A 47-year-old woman was charged after RNC officers were called out to a business in the west end of St. John’s just before suppertime. She was released to appear in court later on charges of theft under $5000 and breach of probation.
A man was picked up by police around mid-afternoon after somebody stole from a business in the west end, then left the premises. Officers saw a man in the general area who fit the description of the perpetrator, and took him to the lockup. The 61-year-old faces charges of theft under $5000 and breach of probation.
