The city of Mount Pearl will unveil a new mural today that they say acts as a tribute to the presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples in their community.
The mural was commissioned by the city and created by Mi’kmaw artist Melissa Francis of Studio 120.
The city says the mural honours Mi’kmaw presence across time, land, and generations.
The unveiling is happening at 1 p.m. in Centennial Park.
