The NDP wants a meeting with the top brass at Memorial University to talk about its campus in England.
MUN is in the process of assessing its finances and, as such, may do some tinkering with Harlow. No decisions have yet been made.
NDP Leader Jim Dinn, who used to be president of the NL Teachers’ Association, acknowledges the financial demands on MUN but urges the post secondary institution not to divest itself of the campus.
He did his teaching internship at Harlow, an experience which he describes as meaningful and formative.
