A man with a suspended licence is no further ahead after police say he struck a vehicle and left the scene while retrieving his seized vehicle from an impound yard.
Bonavista RCMP say the driver was identified as a 40-year-old man from Port Union. He was reportedly trying to retrieve items from the impounded vehicle around 7:00 p.m. on November 10th, but police say he decided to take the vehicle instead.
Police say he struck another parked vehicle and drove away.
He was found a couple of days later and was ticketed for failing to stop at the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended licence.
Once again, the vehicle he was driving was seized and impounded.
