Newfoundland Power is investigating a power outage affecting residents in the Lawrence Pond, Upper Gullies and Seal Cove area of CBS.
Meanwhile, approximately 600 customers are affected by another power outage in the Burnt Islands, Rose Blanche and Harbour le Cou area of the southwest coast. The cause of that outage is under investigation.
The same storm system that is bringing heavy snowfall and high winds to many parts of the island today is responsible for major power outages in Nova Scotia.
