A Grade 8 student from Brookside Intermediate in Portugal Cove-St. Philips went on a shopping spree this morning as part of the Avalon Mall and RNC’s annual Shop with a Cop holiday event.

Owen Tucker was chosen to spend $250 to pick up a few items for himself, and his family, accompanied by a member of the RNC.

Tucker says the money is coming in handy for him to get a few special things for his mom and dad and nan and pop.

“I was going to get something for mom and dad anyway, but now I can actually do it today.”
