One person is in hospital after they were shot during a break-in at a home in Corner Brook last night.

RNC was called after 36-year-old Scott King allegedly entered the home on Parkwood Drive and shot a man inside.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

King is facing several charges:

– Assault causing bodily harm
– Assault with a weapon
– Aggravated assault
– Careless use of a firearm
– Possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose
– Pointing a firearm
– Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
– Breaking and entering

King is being held in custody pending a court appearance.
