A 61-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of goods from a store in Stephenville.
RCMP were contacted by the store’s staff around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday after a man left the business with a number of items without paying.
Employees were able to provide a name and description of the suspect to police and he was arrested a short time later.
The accused is set to appear in court next month on charges of theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.
