RCMP say there were no injuries but damage was extensive following a house fire in Carbonear early this morning.

The fire department was called to the scene on Gilmour Place around 1:00 this morning, and knocked the blaze down.

The house was vacant at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Harbour Grace RCMP are asking anyone with dash cam or video surveillance of the area early this morning to give them a call at 709-596-5014.
