Environment Canada is keeping an eye on a storm system forecast to affect many parts of the province at the start of the work week.
Meteorologist Wanda Batten says the system is deepening and could, in her words, develop into a ‘weather bomb.’
She’s advising residents of the island and southern parts of Labrador to be on alert as the system approaches Sunday evening through to daytime Monday.
“It looks like snow for some areas, rain for other areas, freezing rain, and strong winds associated with this guy. And it’s actually peeking up into southern Labrador too, so this looks like it could be an interesting one and it might have some impact on travel on Monday.”
Environment Canada will have further details as the system gets closer.
