A local journalist and a former politician are joining forces with a new podcast.

The Honourable and the Hack features Alex Bill, the editor of allNewfoundlandLabrador, and former provincial cabinet minister Andrew Parsons.

The former MHA says his brother, who has his own travel podcast, encouraged him to give it a try.  Parsons says he mentioned it to Bill, with whom he has developed a friendly relationship over the years and, the rest as they say, is history.

They launched the podcast just before Christmas, and he says they’ve already welcomed guests like David Cochrane and Tim Powers, the Host of the Tim Powers Show on VOCM.

He says the feedback to-date has been “really positive” and he believes they’re doing a form of political chatter unlike that offered elsewhere.
