First responders were called to the scene of a house fire in the east end of St. John’s today.
Smoke was seen coming from a house on Leonard Street, just off Hussey Drive near Torbay Road. The RNC, St. John’s Regional and ambulances were on the scene.
Access to Hussey Drive was blocked to traffic while first responders attended to the scene.
There’s no immediate word on the extent of the damage or whether there were any injuries as a result of the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
