Progress to remove ice at NL Hydro Bay d’Espoir plant last night went well, but the utility is still asking people to conserve energy.
Yesterday, hydro officials warned that rolling blackouts could be possible, issuing a “Power Warning” to homeowners.
NL Hydro says generation on some units has started, and systems are being brought online gradually as the ice clears.
