A flood warning is still in effect in Badger as water levels remain dangerously high in and around the town.
The town recently issued a state of emergency and warned of potential flooding. While evacuation orders have not been given, residents have been advised to be on the ready.
Mayor Dennis Butt says he has been informed that water levels have plateaued on the Exploits River and Badger Brook is trending down.
That said, levels are still fluctuating.
He says in some areas the water is moving up past their markers, and in other areas levels have dropped off a bit. He says the flood warning and state of emergency are still in place.
