The Mayor of Pouch Cove is commending residents for coming together to support each other in what has been a very difficult time.
RNC had to dispatch two dogs that attacked four people in the town yesterday afternoon. At least two people had to be taken to hospital for treatment of what police describe as serious injuries.
Mayor Brad Richards says while the situation is difficult for all, he’s pleased that so many people are coming together to lean on and support each other.
Members of the Pouch Cove Volunteer Fire Department helped to try to corral the dogs until police and ambulances arrived. He’s thanking those who intervened and is offering his support to those injured or otherwise affected.
“Anyone who was involved in any way…trying to provide help…also our volunteer fire department, anyone who was involved was impacted by this and I’m thinking about them. I hope they’re taking care of themselves and reaching out for support when they need it.”
