Two people are facing conspiracy and weapons-related charges following their arrests in St. John’s on Wednesday.
RNC say Julian Squires, who was unlawfully at large, was picked up around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in the capital city’s west end.
Police found a weapon and ammunition on the 38-year-old, resulting in additional charges of breaching a prohibition order and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Meanwhile 39-year-old Emily Vaughan was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. She was charged with mischief and breaches after giving police a fake name.
A search of their vehicle uncovered a bag containing items that led investigators to believe they were conspiring to commit an armed robbery.
The two were charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Squires was charged with disguise with intent.
They are both set to appear in court on Friday.
