A St. John’s woman will see a judge later this morning after a situation escalated quickly yesterday evening.
Officers were first called to a west-end home shortly before 9:30, with the caller asking for backup from police.
But before the RNC could arrive, the situation escalated, and a 27-year-old woman is said to have assaulted another person.
When the RNC tried to arrest her, she then assaulted the officer.
The woman has now been charged with three counts of assaulting a peace officer and was held for court this morning.
