A man arrested in connection with a recent armed robbery in the capital city had been on the run for the last 6 months.

RNC identified 36-year-old Jeffrey Earle as the suspect in an armed robbery at a service station on Topsail Road during the height of a blizzard on Monday morning.

Police say the armed suspect demanded cash and cigarettes from the clerk and fled on foot.

Earle was arrested last night in Cowan Heights and was held to appear in court today on charges of armed robbery, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He had been unlawfully at large since July, and has been similarly charged.
