Three people from out of province – an adult and two teens – were arrested after a total of more than one kilogram of suspected cocaine was seized from a car and home in Deer Lake this week.
Officers with the RCMP’s and RNC’s Joint Forces Operation West pulled a vehicle over near Corner Brook on Wednesday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation.
Two young people in the car were taken into custody.
A short time later, RCMP arrested a man in Deer Lake.
Searches of the home and car resulted in the seizure of more than one kg of suspected cocaine, cell phones, cash, and other materials consistent with drug trafficking.
Twenty-nine-year-old Zuhayr Ali of British Columbia, and two teens from Alberta have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking
All three were held in custody to appear in court.
