Winterfest activities are underway in Conception Bay South and the town is making sure that one of its greatest assets is on full display.

Many of the events planned over the coming days incorporate outdoor activities, something Mayor Darrin Bent says is no accident.

“We’re an outdoor people” says Bent. “The trails are an incredible part of our assets for residents to use.” He jokes you don’t have to force people to get bundled up and go outdoors to enjoy time with family and friends.  He highlights an outdoor family event that is planned, involving snowshoeing and other activities, and says their outdoor skating rink has proven very popular this winter.
