The wife of a man that was the victim of a violent attack in Mount Pearl a few years ago believes there’s a lot of good things in the city’s new safety and well-being plan, and now she is looking forward to seeing it implemented.
Bailey Rempel has become an advocate for safer communities ever since her husband was attacked in the fall of 2024.
Rempel says there are “quite a few actions” in the plan that will make a difference, and she is encouraged to see that the city has looked at the issues in-depth.
Now, she wants to see the action to follow the plan.
She points to the yearly reporting the city wants to do, and the tracking of the action items they will be moving ahead with.
