Over 100 students are converging in St. John’s today for a science fair.
It’s called the 2026 Cenovus Energy Eastern Newfoundland Science and Technology Fair, and it is taking place inside the MUN core science building.
There is also a virtual fair for students in central and western Newfoundland, as well as in Labrador.
The event will see over 100 grades 7-12 students put their scientific research on display.
Judging will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. today in the whale atrium, where students will be competing for medals, prizes, scholarships, special awards and 12 spots on Science Team NL.
Tomorrow, there will be an open house in the whale atrium from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. That will be followed by the awards ceremony in the Bruneau Centre at noon.
