The Finance Minister offered a hint about tax cuts in the upcoming budget in response to questions raised in the House of Assembly yesterday.
Opposition finance critic Sarah Stoodley wanted to know what measures government intends to take in order to make life more affordable. Craig Pardy wouldn’t say what tax cuts are coming, but government will live up to its election promises.
“One of our pillars in our platform was to make life more affordable, lower taxes. In the upcoming budget, the member opposite will see that we will honour our commitment to lowering taxes, and make life more affordable. I don’t want to use the words ‘stay tuned,’ but, stay tuned.”
