A man has been charged with impaired after police say he blew over twice the legal limit in St. John’s early this morning.

The vehicle was pulled over downtown around 2 a.m.

In addition to the criminal charge against him, the 52-year-old driver’s license was suspended and vehicle impounded.

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
