The Minister of Tourism says access is among her top priorities after meeting with representatives of the local tourism industry.

Operators have long called for increased capacity on Marine Atlantic and more air route connecting the province with the United States and Europe.

Andrea Barbour says she’s heard those concerns loud and clear.

“Capacity is always an issue, we have so many people that want to come here, we can only let so many people on the island at a time, so every meeting that I’ve been in, access has come up as the key….if we can get through access, we can grow our economy.”
