A Quebec man has been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property after the theft of a vehicle in Labrador.
A pickup truck was stolen from a home in Port Hope Simpson Monday. An RCMP officer found the truck a short time later as it was headed toward St. Lewis. Police tried to pull it over, but the driver decided to motor on.
RCMP in nearby Forteau were contacted and the 38-year-old driver was stopped and arrested about an hour later near Red Bay.
Simon Garceau of Fermont, Quebec has been charged with possession of stolen property and flight from police.
The investigation continues.
