A woman spent the night in the lockup after an investigation into a possible break-in at a home in the centre city.

The homeowner called police just after 3:30 yesterday afternoon with concerns that someone may have been trying to break-in.

Officers tracked down the woman matching the description provided and determined that a break-in had not occurred, however she was in breach of her court orders.

She was arrested and charged for breach of release order, breach of probation and resisting arrest.
