Police had their work cut out for them responding to an incident in downtown St. John’s around suppertime yesterday.

A man who was not supposed to be in the area of a certain residence took off on foot before officers arrived. RNC tracked down the 55-year-old man and took him in without incident.

He was charged with several breaches of his release order, including that he have no contact with the complainant and that he remain away from their residence.

He was held for court today.
