Three schools in the province will see some significant upgrades over the next few years.
Government has earmarked $4-million in the budget for the expansion of St. Theresa’s in St. John’s, Pasadena Elementary, and Ecole Boreale in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Infrastructure Minister Barry Petten says technical work is underway on each of the schools, and he thinks shovels could be in the ground by next year.
The plans include add-ons to the current buildings, and renovations to the existing infrastructure.
He says it will mostly be an expansion project for St. Theresa’s because it is currently bursting “at the seams.” While renovations are coming for the other two schools, with some expansion.
