Today is World Bee Day and St. John’s area residents are being invited to show their support for bees and other pollinators by joining in a free Labyrinth Walk at the Anglican Cathedral.
The church has a labyrinth, a pathway to allow people to meander in quiet reflection, and it hosts a regular monthly Labyrinth Walk to get the community involved.
This month they’re focused on World Bee Day which draws attention to the essential role bees and other pollinators play in food production, a healthy ecosystem and biodiversity.
Organizers believe that’s especially true here as bees are essential to berry crops, the propagation of wildflowers, gardens and local agriculture.
Doors open at 1:30 followed by a self-paced walk starting at 2:00.
