The province’s energy minister says negotiations with Quebec on the Churchill Falls MOU will soon resume.
The negotiation process ground to a halt last year after the PCs took power and undertook a review of the document.
That process is now over and the report has been released, with Premier Tony Wakeham indicating last month that they are ready to head back to the table.
When questioned today by reporters about the status of negotiations, Lloyd Parrott was mum on details, only to say they will start “really soon,” and that there will be an announcement “in the next few days.”
